POLE AND LADDER

You are in a den and the available means of escape is either climbing a pole or using a ladder. Though the lion is asleep, what if he wakes, which will you use to escape? Like it's expected of any rational being, we would go for the ladder. There are two roads available for man to take; the wide or the narrow. To some of us, we do think that our journey on this road starts after death. NO! It actually takes place now. The wide road; very free, no havoc, you just keep moving like you are walking down a slope. Being evil makes you free, evil can't attack evil and the good won't do it, so you are on the wide road where no one will attack you. The narrow road, on the other hand, isn't tarred, it is filled with tests, it's like climbing a mountain, and that's why the good ones can't be free, their evil counterparts are doing everything they can to bring them to the wide road. In real terms, taking the wide road is like climbing the pole, you are indirectly free while taking the narrow one is like using the ladder, Why? Because you have a Saviour, who has made a ladder for you. This life is vain, the life after is what we should fight for. As always said, 'this life is a market and we'll one day give account to God'. Give your life to the One who will help you see comfort in your discomfort, hope in hopelessness, strength in your weakness, ... Take the ladder and not the pole, don't commit yourself to eternal suffering. Behave like a rational being, go for the ladder!
